Castle Arts 2017

Published on October 04th 2017 by LMNS

1st to 6th class were invited to Lismore Castle to view the art work of Anthony McCall. His works are based on beams of light which are made visible through the use of haze machines. We the audience also make up part of the art piece. It was interesting to see this different art form.

We then created our own  art pieces, first as a big group and then in smaller groups using light, shapes and shadows. Soon we will each produce our own art postcard based on what we saw and learned and these will be sent to the Castle. Later in the year we will be invited with our families to the Castle to see our pieces displayed.
