We visited a local farm last week. We saw new born lambs and also met Percy the Osterich!
Here in Mochuda, we place a lot of emphasis on giving the children life skills to help them succeed in life. We practice our typing skills daily. We have discovered that not only is it practical, it is fun!
We held a coffee morning and thanks to all parents who attended. We encourage parents to get to involved in school life and a coffee morning is a lovely opportunity to get to know people.
Elaine came in for weeks to help us make willow stars and a willow Christmas tree. Such a great life skill that is free and fun!
The Red Kettle came to our school and did an improvisational drama with the two classes. Everybody participated and a great laugh was had by all!
After over forty years of service to Liosmor Mochuda, Mrs Sheehan retired. On the last day we celebrated her retirement with a service in St Carthages and refreshments in the school after. This week we started chess lessons with our class champion. He is a local champion and we are so lucky to have such great talent amongst us!
Based on our theme of Eco towns , MS Hodge and the senior room made bracelets and necklaces from recycled materials!
