Opera

Published on June 07th 2017 by LMNS

For the first time we were invited to go to the dress rehearsal of L’Elisir d’Amore which was preformed as part of the Lismore Opera Festival. It took place late in the evening in Lismore Castle. It was an interesting way to tell a story.  The main lady, the Prima Donna, had two men in love with her. In the end she chooses the poorer man who is actually rich as he inherits money he never knew about. There was some funny scenes. Although we did not understand it all, as most of it was sung in Italian, we got the gist of the story.  The little orchestra played really well. It was a great night out! All in all we enjoyed it.

Liosmór Mochuda National School is a mixed two-teacher school in Lismore, Co. Waterford under the Patronage of the Church of Ireland. It is nestled at the top of North Mall between the historic St. Carthages Cathedral and the Deanery.
