    We were a little disappointed that the slugs and snails devoured a lot of our crops. We did however get some strawberries, fennel and potatoes. Miss Quin collected these over the summer and sampled them, she said they were delicious.

We are also making good use of our new gymnastics equipment. It is fun to be able to balance, jump and tumble around. We are of course always careful to make sure we complete each activity safely!  

Many thanks again to all those who contributed to our fundraiser for our violin programme and school yard last May. We really appreciate it.   On Friday June 10th we went to Clonmel for the Diocesan Service. There were 6 schools there. It started with a play and then we had songs and each school had a part. We did a reading. After the service we had lunch and then we went to the school grounds and played games…

  We have tried more fruit and vegetables lately. We have tried beetroot, asparagus, mango and physalis. They have been interesting and not everyone liked them. The physalis tasted a little like a bitter tomato. The beetroot had an earthy taste. The mango was very sweet and the asparagus was like peas.

  We recently made hats out of recycled materials….we had so much fun planning them and making them. Then we did a fashion show for the Junior Room. The hats were excellent and our teachers really liked them.
